Exhibition of paintings and graphics "Adam’s Ribs"

Russian artists Anna Popova and Alena Pechnikova will present their works. The grand opening of the exposition will take place on October 8 at Golitsyn Loft.

For the third time, the Gallery of “Squishy” invites residents of St. Petersburg to get acquainted with the work of Russian artists. At the exhibition of paintings and graphics "Ribs of Adam" will be presented the work of the Moscow artist-designer Anna Popova and the artist from St. Petersburg - Alena Pechnikova.

The exposition is mainly intended to reflect the theme of "Man: the world in and around." It is this idea that unites the work of artists working in completely different styles and techniques. The purpose of the exhibition is to show the fundamental foundations in the human perception of reality through the individual empathy of the surrounding processes. Artists correlate their creative methods with the concept of reflection, in other words, by drawing the viewer’s attention to the content and functions of their consciousness. Observing the presented works, the guest will be able to think about awareness of himself and the world around him, and his thoughts will go so deep to their origins as soon as he is able to plunge at the moment.

The grand opening of the exhibition will take place on October 8 at 19:00, admission is free. Address: “Toward the Gallery” Gallery, Golitsyn Loft, 20 Fontanka River Embankment (left wing, 3rd floor).

An entertainment program, live music and a buffet reception will be arranged for guests. The exposition will last until October 19, 2016.

Recall that the gallery “In the fold” was formed in July 2016 by the artists themselves from St. Petersburg. According to the terms of the partnership in the community, each of the participants contributes a small amount every month to support the work of the gallery and takes turns exposing his exposition. At the moment, the gallery has more than 10 artists. The “Adam Ribs” exposition will be the third exhibition produced by galleries. In September, a group exhibition of all participants of the creative association and a personal exhibition of Maria Ivanova-Ocheret were already held.

Golitsyn Loft - an art space of the "palace" type. The creative quarter combines five buildings, one of which is an old 18th-century mansion located opposite the Engineering Castle. There is evidence that the Turgenev brothers lived in it, who were friends with Alexander Pushkin. According to legend, the great poet wrote here his famous ode "Liberty." It is also known that the mansion hosted meetings of the Arzamas literary society.

Now in the loft there are more than a hundred projects, based on creative instrumentalization. This is the free space of Ziferburg, a large number of showrooms, tattoo and design studios, bars, restaurants, creative workshops and much more.
