Anniversary exhibition “Oleg Yakhnin. 50 years in the book schedule ”will be opened on the 20th of June in the exhibition halls of the ARTMUZA Creative Cluster on two floors.

The exposition will feature illustrations and easel works on the theme of the book from the mid-60s to the present. The viewer will be able to see unique handmade books and illustrations for them, made in the techniques of etching, lithography, woodcut, watercolor, etc.

Also, viewers will be able to see the results of many years of fruitful work with the publishing houses "Kid", "Children’s Literature", "Fiction", "Detgiz", "Lenizdat", as well as with the magazines "Murzilka", "Sparkle", "Bonfire", "Aurora "," Neva "," Art of Leningrad ", and other book and magazine publishers in Russia.

For the development and promotion of graphic art, the popularization of book graphics in our country and abroad, an invaluable contribution to the education of young artists Oleg Yakhnin was awarded the Book Worm professional book award.

At this time, the artist is actively collaborating with the Vita Nova publishing house, which specializes in the production of small-run collection editions.

He is working on the creation of copyrighted handmade books in the publishing houses “Manual Printing” and “Rare Book”.

During the exhibition, there will be master classes for children and adults, creative meetings with book artists, writers and publishers.
