Для примера: есть французский художник Николя де Ларжильер, но какому-то квасному патриоту годится только Никола с ударением на букву О. Какой ни приведи аргумент патриоту, он будет слышать только себя. А французов этих он презирает.

Several sailing ships of varying sizes are anchored or moving within the harbor. The largest ship, in the middle ground, is a majestic vessel with multiple masts and sails, commanding attention. A fortified stone wall with towers lines the left side of the harbor, adding a sense of history and defense to the scene. The water is rendered with gentle waves, reflecting the soft sky and the surrounding structures. In the distance, hazy mountains rise, adding depth and a touch of the sublime to the composition.
The paintings title, Seaport, Effects of Fog (Embarkation of Ulysses?), suggests a possible interpretation of the scene as a classical mythological event. The soft light and atmospheric perspective could be interpreted as fog or mist, enhancing the dreamlike quality. The presence of Ulysses, a famously seafaring hero known for his long journeys and eventual return home, could imbue the scene with themes of departure, adventure, and the longing for home. The grandeur of the architecture and the ships can symbolize the ambition and enterprise of human endeavor, while the natural elements like the sea and mountains evoke a sense of the larger forces at play in human life. The overall mood is one of quiet activity and potential, a moment poised before a journey begins or concludes.
