Flanking this central grouping are several figures, both human and celestial. Two angels occupy positions to either side, one playing a stringed instrument that resembles a harp or lyre, while the other holds what appears to be a lute. Further out, two additional angelic figures are visible within an arched niche above the throne, their presence contributing to the overall sense of divine majesty.
Below the throne, kneeling figures populate the foreground. Two monks, distinguishable by their shaved heads and monastic robes, offer gestures of reverence towards the enthroned woman and child. A third figure, dressed in a brown habit with a hood, kneels on the right side, also exhibiting an attitude of prayerful devotion.
The scene is set against a patterned floor composed of alternating squares of light and dark colors, creating a sense of depth and grounding the figures within a defined space. Above the architectural backdrop, a decorative band features foliage motifs, including what appear to be laurel leaves and citrus fruits, adding an element of richness and symbolic detail.
The arrangement suggests a hierarchical structure, with the woman and child occupying the apex of spiritual authority. The presence of the saints and monks indicates their role as intercessors or devotees within this divine framework. The musical instruments held by the angels imply celebration and praise, reinforcing the sacred nature of the event depicted. The overall effect is one of solemnity, piety, and a carefully orchestrated display of religious reverence.
