A quick look at "pictures from the exhibition" in the State Tretyakov Engineering Building

Many design options for masterpieces of fine art today would not have stood up to criticism of the baguette community. “Distracts from the image”, “excessive piling up”, “imbalance in color”, “unjustified stylistics”. Indeed, why would the Russian story be accompanied by a Greek meander? And 25 emblems around the event on the canvas are images in themselves, and what else, and what kind of focus on the plot? The gaze is far from everywhere (!) Unhindered overcoming the path from the frame to the image. Well, perhaps with an indifferent viewer.

However, what he saw is impressive, and in some places even amazing. The canons are trampled, in some places also how: a precious frame is precious in itself - a masterpiece in itself. Well, what can I add besides the famous “Dry theory, my friend, but the tree of life is magnificently green.” And the creative wins again.

This is a long-gone century, rushing off "forever… golden times, when… great Russia was crowned with glory…". On which it is convenient to write off now any inexplicable dissonance.

And what about the closer era? The bold experiments of the end of the twentieth century are very bold, as the experiment is supposed to be. "Russian Beauty" of the honored master of Russian painting, which is already very similar to the glamorous miss something, and even with cards in hand (and by no means in the style of "Three, seven, ace") and around - a frame in the form of folk shutters, which painfully resembles a spinner of a spinning wheel - a tool that gave so much spiritual hand made’a. Well, cards do not mate, a raid of perversity in the eye with a frame in the Russian ethnic style! Associatively and visually it is a collapse, and the heart breaks in half. (Just as it doesn’t break at all from the next work of V. Nemukhin “Black ombre table”, where all the attributes are equivalent to design. By style, color, thought, essence). Because where it is sonorous, there it is organic.

The proverb “Courage of the city takes” is alive. But closer, perhaps, is Goethe: nevertheless, friend, you are right, the theory is in some places still drier than necessary…
