In the treasures of the Art of our Great and Immense, sometimes for unknown reasons they are forgotten and for many years are not brought to light for a wide, and often not indifferent public, priceless incredible talents worthy of world recognition.

On February 6, in the Lavrushinsky, 15 PAX Hall, the anniversary exhibition of the amazing artist “All life in art” was held with the assistance of the Coller Art House, in the framework of the “Portrait of an Artist” project.

Grigory Gromov is one of the very few of our treasures that at one time defeated the system of total dominance of social realism, harsh, often far from true Art requirements for artists, and, in general, for the creative environment.

Thin pure syncretic paintings by Grigory Gromov smoothly pass the strict framework of any art genres. Nevertheless, his works are so absolute that they completely fall under the academic definition of N.N. Volkov from his book "Composition in Painting":

1. No part of the whole can be removed or replaced to the detriment of it.

2. Parts cannot be interchanged without prejudice to the whole.

3. No new element can be attached to the whole without prejudice to the whole

Whatever art critics call Grigory Gromov’s work - abstractionism, mystery, avant-garde, psychological portrait - only one remains obvious. His works are perfect, deep, they illuminate the soul of the viewer, and forever remain in memory. Grigory Gromov - The artist is not only outside of genres and art techniques. He created his own unique unique art space, which is comfortable for him and grateful spectators.

You will hardly find any information about the Artist, and I was convinced that he himself will not begin to paint himself for you either. Grigory Pafnutievich Gromov - A man with a capital letter, how talented, so humble. He is a Participant, Hero of the Great Patriotic War. I don’t know anything about his awards and ranks, whether they are there, or he was just an ordinary soldier, I only know one thing that everything that Grigory Gromov creates is a direct antithesis of the War, a sincere and direct answer to that universal Bede that falls upon the people through fault exorbitant ambitions and alien anxiety of the "mighty of this world."

His work is the quintessence of goodness, humanity, harmony and peace, all that can protect a person from terrible memories.

February 11, 2015, Grigory Gromov turned 90 years old. Health, strength, vitality to this beautiful, rare kind artist. Long years!
