"On the river of time." Exhibition of works by Igor Mashkov

The Russian Academy of Arts presents an exhibition of works by the Honored Artist of Russia, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Igor Gennadyevich Mashkov “On the River of Time”. Its name is deeply symbolic, because the basis of the exposition, which includes about 50 works of different years (portraits, compositions, still lifes, landscapes) will be composed of paintings from thematic painting series created by the author over several decades. These are works from the cycle on the themes of the history of the Moscow kingdom, compositions from a series of works on the Russian Cossacks from Tsar Ivan the Terrible to the Caucasian Wars, the encyclopedic series “History of the Russian Orthodox Pilgrimage” and “The Path to the City of Heaven”. Appeal to one’s origins, moral and spiritual values is especially important in today’s dynamically changing world.
