The branch remembers the loss of leaves,
But no, Im sure, it wasnt a branch...
Autumn shakes off the leaves once more,
Dusting away past sorrows and triumphs.
It shakes off the leaves, covering
The ground with a colorful cloth.
There is no spectacle finer than this –
I understood it, looking out the window from my dream...

The subtexts of this painting can be interpreted as the beauty and tranquility of nature in decline, the cyclical nature of life, and a sense of nostalgia. The soft light and muted colors evoke a feeling of peace and introspection, inviting the viewer to contemplate the transient nature of beauty and the inevitability of change. The presence of bare branches alongside the last vestiges of color can symbolize both the end of one phase and the anticipation of renewal. The title, Autumn, immediately sets a tone of transition, and the style of the painting, with its impressionistic brushstrokes and focus on light and atmosphere, further enhances this sense of ephemeral beauty.
