8,000 years of the formation of Iranian art in the Belarusian National Museum of Art

From the point of view of the universe, 8,000 years, during which the art of ancient and modern Iran developed, is just a moment. However, for a simple person, such a period is tantamount to eternity. True, one person, even having the opportunity to live such a long life, would not have been able to perfectly master all types of Iranian art presented at the exhibition, which opened on July 13.

Even the oldest archaeological finds bear the imprint of a bright and distinctive Iranian style. And Indo-European roots make every object, striking with its elegance and beauty, intuitive to modern people. The imagination is skillfully made carved from bone, wood, stone. And thanks to the large assortment of items that took part in the exposition, one can appreciate all stages of the development of art - from Zoroastrian traditions to the final formation of Islam.

Paintings, engravings, wood inlays, weaving and pottery craftsmanship - Iranian artisans possessed golden hands and a keen eye, which can be seen by familiarizing themselves with the wide variety of objects that make up the exhibition collection. Rarely does the embassy of the Iranian Republic open its funds, but until July 31 Belarusians will be able to plunge into the enchanting world of an oriental tale.
