Artist A.I.Solopov presents his paintings in the hometown of Michurinsk

Museum named after A.M. Gerasimov invites residents of the city of Michurinsk to visit a personal exhibition of his fellow countryman, a member of the Union of Russian Artists, Anatoly Solopov. The exposition, called "Reflection of the Soul", presents 67 paintings written by the hand of the master. The exhibition hall houses paintings of various genres - from landscapes and still lifes to thematic paintings.

Solopov’s work in the manner of writing is comparable to the works of A.M. Gerasimova. Written in large strokes, these works, viewed from a distance, appear to be real, snatched from life moments, captured on canvases. The landscapes depicting the streets of old Michurinsk, where the artist’s childhood was spent, are recognizable, only the churches that were destroyed today revived the artist’s imagination.

Many of the artist’s paintings, although he has been living in the suburbs for many years, are dedicated to his small homeland, Michurin’s landscapes. He has a lot of such works. Each of the visitors to the exhibition will find among the exhibited works paintings that are consonant with his spiritual mood. No one is indifferent to the portrait of a girl by a flowering tree, called by the artist "Linden blossoms."

The plot works are so realistic that as if the events displayed on the canvas are continued, they will take their course. It is no accident that the Gerasimov Museum constantly provides a place for the works of Anatoly Solopov. This is not only the veneration of the talent of his countryman, but also the recognition of the artist as a master of realism, the genre that the museum prefers.
