A German view of design - the founders of modern architecture

Since October 23, visitors to the Moscow Vhutemas Gallery have the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the strongest students of the German architectural school. Natives of the legendary Bauhaus, who have largely determined the direction of modern architecture, present their works in the capital, many of which are perceived by the young generation as unshakable canons.

From the point of view of practical Germans, every piece of art should be not only beautiful, but useful, ergonomic and cheap. Beauty is necessary in everyday life, so you should not initially predict your works in the attributes of a rich life. Therefore, creating your creations is necessary based on the capabilities of the middle class.

Perhaps this played a decisive role, thanks to which the work of such masters as Walter Gropius, Marianne Brandt, Marcel Breuer and many others quickly gained recognition around the world. Their work is a kind of "Design Icons", a generalized representation of the German school.

Muscovites will be able to get an idea of the traditions of German design and architecture until December 29.
