Generation of young artists in the Pinchuk art center

From November 3 to December 6, a large-scale exhibition of works by contemporary artists is held in Kiev, organized so that each nominee for the Future Generation Art Prize 2012 can show himself worthy. The award was founded in 2009 and is designed to identify a young artist whose age does not exceed 35 years. The prize winner will be rewarded financially. The prize fund is 120 000 US dollars, the winner will receive 60 thousand in his hands, and 40 will be able to spend on the development of a certain direction in art. Another 20 thousand are intended to encourage other, brightly manifested participants.

The upcoming selection will be quite tough, since initially more than 4,000 applications from 134 countries of the world were received for participation in the competition. As a result, the jury reduced the number of applicants to 21. Nominees are representatives of 16 countries - Brazil, Italy, Lebanon, USA, Ukraine, Japan, Czech Republic, China, Egypt, Iran, Turkey, Argentina, Poland, France, Great Britain and Portugal.

The award ceremony will be held on December 7, where not only the winner will triumph, but also 5 other best artists who will be given scholarships to study. Until the end of the contest, everyone can make their own conclusion about the work of the nominees and discover new names that have not yet reached worldwide fame!
