Kiev residents had a chance to see the exhibition "Two weeks, one summer"

KIEV. On the eve of the holidays "Pinchuk Art Center" presented a solo exhibition of the famous English artist Damian Hirst. The personality of the author makes a vivid impression on everyone who is lucky to meet him - an artist, entrepreneur, collector and one of the members of the influential Young British Artists group, which has been leading new trends in English art since the 1990s.

A feature of the exhibition “Two weeks, one summer” is the author’s skillful combination of new impressions of life, joyful, bright moments with the eternal theme of his work - Death. The exposition includes works performed by the master from 2010 to 2012 and reflecting the deepest fantasies, associations and memories of the artist about one summer of his life.

Career Damian Hirst has a somewhat scandalous connotation. After all, it would not occur to everyone to put on display a tiger shark in formaldehyde or create a copy of a human skull by inserting real teeth and expensive diamonds into it!

In contrast to these works, the exhibition of summer days, which will last until January 6, is more calm, somewhat melancholy in nature. Vivid images pass through it and evoke a quiet sadness: “Everything passes”, happiness is not infinite, joy must be protected.

Everyone who loves contemporary art and everyone who does not love is worth visiting this exhibition. After all, its main advantage is emotions, as well as a soft reminder of the need to appreciate every moment of life.
