III International Festival of Design of the architectural environment DAS FEST in Kiev

On November 12, a design week began in Kiev, which was traditionally decided to be held at the Architect’s House. The Ukrainian capital is holding a similar event for the third time, this time the theme was urban architecture and the design problem of large cities.

The transformation of cities to the needs of modernity is a painful topic, since during the reconstruction it is necessary to preserve historical and cultural monuments, without which the city loses its authenticity and its inherent charm. Throughout the week, numerous contests, lectures, master classes from world-famous designers will be held.

The young generation of Ukrainian architects has a unique opportunity - to quickly absorb other people’s experience and grow in their work to an international level. Of course, the festival will give them only direction. But talent and the will to improve will do the rest.

The key event of the festival will be the opening of an architectural competition dedicated to St. Andrew’s Descent. The winners of the contest will receive not only financial rewards, awards and valuable prizes… But the main thing is the opportunity to see how their project is translated into reality and ennobles the cultural space around St. Andrew’s Descent.
