Kolomna. “Ozerov’s House” - the Kolomna city cultural center presented to connoisseurs of painting the exhibition “By Cities and Scales” with works by the artist Ekaterina Karapuzkina.

Since 2011, Catherine has been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, in her creative luggage there are already two personal exhibitions - the first one was held in Kolomna in 2006, receiving the saying “In Search…”. Two years later, the inhabitants of Petrozavodsk saw her work, where under the name "Karelian Elegia" were presented works written on the impressions of a creative trip to this lake region.

Ekaterina Karapuzkina received her professional education at the Kolomenskoye State Pedagogical Institute, where she graduated from the department of fine arts, studying under the supervision of the national artist M. G. Abakumov. Her first solo exhibition was held when the young artist was still a student at the institute.

After that, Catherine became a member of many more various exhibitions. Twice, Catherine’s works were exhibited at the traditional display of works by artists of the Kolomna branch of the Union of Artists, held under the title “Traditions and Modernity”.

The basis of the opening exhibition was the work written by the artist over the past two years at planned open airs in Kolomna and Borovsk, and in 2012, Ekaterina Karapuzkina managed to visit France and Switzerland.

Visitors to the exhibition will be able to get acquainted with the landscapes painted by Catherine in the Swiss Alps and near Lake Geneva, see transparent watercolors with views of the cathedrals of Europe and the native Russian forest near Moscow. Surprisingly poetic images of city landscapes in the rain will not leave anyone indifferent.

These wonderful works can be admired until April 3rd.
