The house, which was built by Mark Rozovsky, celebrated its thirtieth anniversary

MOSCOW. A gift for the thirtieth anniversary of the theater “At the Nikitsky Gate” was the new edition of the book by Natalia Staroselskaya “The House Built by Mark”. Reading this work, you can re-go the whole way of the theater, the beginning of which was the appearance of the play "Doctor Chekhov", presented to the public exactly thirty years ago, on March 27, 1983.

The anniversary date, March 27, only now already in 2013, was marked by the theater team with the same performance. “Doctor Chekhov” to this day has been preserved in his repertoire, although over thirty performances have been created in the theater over thirty years. The theater poster presents multi-genre performances. Musicals and philosophical parables, dramas and comedies are staged here. There is a place for poetic representations.

At present, the repertoire of the theater at the Nikitsky Gate has more than thirty performances, some have been going on for decades, but the audience still asks for them “an extra ticket”. At the box office of the theater today, in the last March days, you can buy tickets only for the month of May.

Even with the appearance of the long-awaited new hall with the theater staff in January last year, where 198 spectators can comfortably accommodate, there are no empty seats in it. The theater has been waiting for this housewarming for 12 years, but now the actors are equipped with a stage equipped with the latest technology, although the building, which has retained its historical appearance, was built in the 18th century.

A magnificent troupe, in which there are folk artists, and well-deserved, and some theatrical experience was only a couple of years. The names of many of the actors are well known, some of them have been working in the theater since its foundation. Mark Rozovsky’s theater is known and loved in many cities of our country, and touring in different countries brought his team worldwide fame.
