Exhibition of artists of the creative association "Genghis Khan" in OGIS

OMSK. The OGIS Museum of Modern Art has simultaneously provided two exhibition venues for the exhibition of two artists from Ufa, representing the legendary Genghis Khan association. A series of paintings "Post-Bali", made by Vasil Hannanov, is located in the hall on the street. Exhibitions of Ufa artists are not held in Omsk for the first time. Earlier, the White Cube Gallery already introduced the city residents to their work. Then Omsk showed the work of Hannanov and Sobolev, dedicated to love. Now artists will introduce other facets of their work.

The Post-Bali project was carried out in parallel with the Bosch-Bali painting series, based on impressions of the images created by Jerome Bosch after visiting Bali. The author of these series, Vasil Hannanov, has been the head of the Genghis Khan creative association since 1992, has been a participant in more than 50 exhibitions of this group. In his creative baggage there are 35 personal displays of his works. Within the framework of the exhibition, a master class of Vasil Hannanov is planned.

The author of the Moscow Album, Alexander Sobolev, is not only an artist, but also a writer. In collaboration with the Ufa artist Airat Ramazanov, he created the book-album "Science of the Immaculate Bird." Fans of the work of Alexander Sobolev call him a follower of the famous artist from Denmark Herluf Bidstrup, and for the artist himself, the Danish comic book artist has long been an idol.

A series of collages “Moscow Album” became for Alexander Sobolev a kind of avant-garde game. The media stamps artistically comprehended by the artist turned into images of today’s ideology of consumption.
