Solo exhibition of Stoyan Bozhkilov at the Museum of Naive Art

MOSCOW. The Museum of Naive Art invites everyone to get acquainted with the work of the artist from Bulgaria Stoyan Bozhkilov. The grand opening of the exposition of the artist’s works will take place on March 25, and the exhibition will work on April 20. The exhibition was organized by the 73rd Street Gallery, which already represented the work of Bulgarian artists in the capital.

In 2012, with the help of gallery staff, Muscovites saw the works of Georgy Atanasov and Milena Yoich, as well as representatives of naive art - the father and son of Bozhkilov. The exhibition of Bulgarian authors was a huge success, and acquaintance with the works of Cyril and Stoyan Bozhkilov made an unforgettable impression on visitors.

Now Muscovites were given the opportunity to become more closely acquainted with the work of the youngest representative of the family of naive artists - Stoyan Bozhkilov. The exhibition was called “Naive Stories”. Each of the paintings written by Stoyan Bozhkilov represents an episode from the life of the protagonist of his works, described in detail and in detail. It is not difficult to recognize him - the figure is always in the foreground, stands out in size, and the facial features in all the paintings are similar.

Most often Stoyan devotes his works to the relationship of man and woman. The scenes in the paintings are devoted to a dinner for two, dancing, kisses. Many similar situations described in the artist’s paintings show the importance of this topic in the artist’s work. Dancing couples in the restaurant, depicted on one of the artist’s paintings, are the personification of the festival of love, music and art.

The canvases of the author are often depicted as festivities, so the paintings of Stoyan Bozhkilov are always crowded, and the landscapes are painted in a bright, elegant palette. The artist’s painting is filled with optimism.
