The Russian Museum has opened an exhibition of works by the national artist of the Russian Federation A. Talashchuk

ST. PETERSBURG. The exhibition of Aleksey Talashchuk’s work, opened on June 26 at the Russian Museum, dedicated to the seventieth anniversary of the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, presents visitors enamels, watercolors and paintings made by the master in different years.

The exposition includes approximately 70 works, most of which reflect images inspired by the impressions of the cultural heritage of the countries of the Ancient East, mysterious India and Europe. The works are made in the style used in the early 20th century by Russian avant-garde artists. This style is used by Alexey Talashchuk, depending on the technique used in his works, in a variety of ways, but through all the artist’s creativity, the main theme is spiritual search, sincerity and kindness.

Many works of Alexey Talashchuk are devoted to his favorite topics - roads, wanderings. The movement is felt both in works where North African motifs are used, and in Spanish impressions. The artist connects memories of traveling in southern China with the current rivers associated with perpetual motion.

Beginning in the mid-80s, the motives of the Russian North appeared in Talashchuk’s work. Until today, the artist’s works show how much the masterpieces belonging to northern culture made a great impression on the master. The biography of Alexey Talashchuk is also connected with the northern region of our country.

From the age of six he lived in Siberia, graduated from the art school of Irkutsk. Then he studied at the Institute. Mukhina, and after his graduation he worked in Siberian cities, where today he has his work on the design of buildings for various purposes. Now Alexey Talashchuk lives in St. Petersburg, is engaged in teaching work, bears the title of academician
