Exposition "Nizhny Novgorod artists -Russia" from the participants of "Russia XII"

NIZHNY NOVGOROD. The Nizhny Novgorod Art Museum on May 30 presented the exhibition "Nizhny Novgorod Artists - Russia". The exposition of the exhibition is composed of the works of Nizhny Novgorod artists who participated in the All-Russian exhibition "Russia XII".

At the opening of the exhibition, Inessa Safronova, representing the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation, noted how important it is that among the four hundred works that were on display at such a prestigious exhibition, 57 works were created by Nizhny Novgorod artists. Such a large number of works recognized as the best is a huge achievement of the region.

Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Kraev confirmed that getting to this exhibition is extremely difficult, because the artists from all Russian regions present the best works on it. The work of Alexander Kraev was also a participant in the All-Russian exhibition.

His painting "Transfiguration" is written in the form of a triptych, in which the artist emphasized the connection of generations and times. A boy who visited the already-defunct home of his great-grandfather, from whom only a dilapidated gate with a small little star has remained, is the keeper of the memory of the vanishing past.

The exhibition in the Nizhny Novgorod Museum presents works of art made not only by masters of the older generation, but also by young artists who managed to get a well-deserved recognition of their talent. The exposition includes works of various genres - from painting and sculpture to icon painting and decorative and applied art.

All these works have visited not only in Moscow. They were seen in Russian cities where the Big Volga regional project took place. Now, at the exhibition, open until June 22, residents of the capital of the region can see the best works of their countrymen.
