Autumn exhibition of paintings by Sergei Cherkasov opened in Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK. The most famous artist of Primorye Sergey Cherkasov traditionally presented his new works in the "New Gallery". The artist makes such a gift to his fans every year, at the beginning of autumn arranging a personal exhibition in Vladivostok, in the exposition of which he places paintings painted recently.

For each of the exhibitions, Sergey Cherkasov is preparing the release of calendars, where reproductions of his works on the Primorsky Territory are located. The artist makes such a gift to the inhabitants of Primorye for the 24th time. The first calendar was released in 1990. The new calendar introduced eight reproductions of the artist’s paintings written this year.

The opening exhibition was located in two rooms of the New Gallery, and several paintings can be seen in front of the entrance to the exhibition hall. The main part of the exposition presents views of the capital of the Primorsky Territory, but the paintings are located on thematic zones.

In one of them, picturesque landscapes with images of city lighthouses are collected, for many years helping sailors find their way to the house. Next to them are canvases on which magnificent horses come to life - the animals most beloved by the artist. Presented in the exhibition and still lifes.

The canvases have no names, however, seaside landscapes are well recognized by visitors to the exhibition. The paintings, selected by Sergey Cherkasov for the traditional autumn exhibition, present a complete account of the open airs conducted by the painter during the spring-summer season.

The master himself says that he leaves the work that he considers worthy of showing to his fellow countrymen, since they are the most demanding viewers. “Cherkasovskaya Autumn” is represented by forty canvases written within six months. The exhibition itself will work as much time.
