VLADIVOSTOK. The exhibition "Only Painting", which opened on February 6 at the Arka Gallery, is dedicated to the memory of Russian painter Veniamin Goncharenko, and will wait for connoisseurs of the work of an amazing artist until March 1st.

Veniamin Alekseevich stood at the origins of the development of the Primorsky school of painting, while devoting most of his time to teaching, he was the first rector of the Far Eastern Pedagogical Institute of Arts, dedicating twenty years of his life to this work.

In addition to teaching, the artist led an active creative life, starting to take part in exhibitions from 1959, immediately after graduating from the All-Russian Academy of Arts. Then he continued his professional art education by studying in graduate school, where he studied under the guidance of B.V. Johanson.

The exposition of the exhibition includes the early works of Vladimir Goncharenko, written at the beginning of the artist’s career, as well as the latest works performed relatively recently. An attentive viewer will be convinced that the artist’s canvases reflect the feelings and thoughts that accompanied the events of his busy creative life.

Veniamin Alekseevich was loved and respected by his colleagues and students. All conquered his openness and ease of communication. His phenomenal education made it possible to conduct conversations on various topics. The artist was interested not only in painting, but also in literature and music. He found inspiration for creativity in the world around him, in his thoughts on his structure.

Throughout his life, Veniamin Alekseevich remained faithful to the traditions of the Russian school of painting. The beauty of the world was praised in his canvases, and only thanks to his paintings did many viewers learn to notice it.
