KRASNOYARSK. Museum them. Surikova celebrated the eightieth anniversary of the Krasnoyarsk Territory with the opening of an art exhibition. The exposition presented under the name “Siberia, we were born by you” is special. It included works by masters for whom the 2014 year also became, or could have become an anniversary.

Of the 12 Krasnoyarsk artists whose work was housed in the exhibition halls of the museum, only one was able to come to the opening of the exhibition - Gertrud Leizarenko. Not so long ago, the artist celebrated his eightieth anniversary. Over the years of creativity, Leizarenko created thousands of paintings, while transferring his professional skills to hundreds of students.

Gertrud Leyzarenko and today writes new paintings. At the opening of the exhibition, the hero of the day said that the continuity of generations is of great importance for young artists.

At the beginning of the exhibition housed the work performed by Dmitry Karatanov. When the Krasnoyarsk Territory was formed in 1934, Karatanov was already a fairly well-known artist. The remaining artists, whose work is presented at the exhibition, became known in the postwar years.

Attending the opening, Gennady Ruksha, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, was personally acquainted with many of the artists-anniversaries, said that the works collected in the exhibition halls belong to the treasury of Russian culture. Before the first visitors entered the halls, Marina Moskalyuk, director of the museum, spoke about the contents of the exhibition.

More than a hundred works of Krasnoyarsk masters of art presented in the anniversary exhibition belong to different genres, but each of the works is filled with love for the native land.
