Even before the premiere, Oleg Rybkin said that, due to its quality, the play should be of particular interest to the people of the theater, since it is about their colleagues, actors of a provincial troupe, and the public is always interested to see what is happening behind the scenes in a world inaccessible to them.

Two main characters, one of them is an old actor who will play the role of King Lear, is seriously ill. The second hero of the play is the actor’s long-standing friend, the costume designer of the Norman troupe. This is the only person who is able to help old actor Sir John.

The chamber stage hall accommodates only 48 people, so all tickets for the performances are already sold out until the very new year. At the pre-premiere show, where colleagues and regular spectators are traditionally invited, there was not enough space for everyone.

Actors play literally a meter from the audience sitting on wooden benches, therefore, the tragedy of the story of loneliness and devotion, causes even greater emotional stress in the hall. Many viewers barely held back tears.
