The famous "Vladimir School of Painting" is presented at an exhibition in the Central House of Artists Automatic translate
MOSCOW. By December 21st, visitors to the Central House of Artists will be able to get acquainted with a unique phenomenon in Russian art life - the work of artists whose works belong to the Vladimir school of painting. “Vladimir School of Painting” - under this name is an exposition consisting of 140 works by authors of different generations of artists of the ancient Russian city.
Such an exhibition is held in the capital for the second time. For the first time, such a large-scale exposition of works by Vladimir artists was seen by residents of the capital in 2010. The exhibition, which opened on December 5, was organized thanks to the initiative of the Vladimir philanthropist Pavel Antov, who believes that the Vladimir School of Painting, whose history has more than 55 years, is a brand of the Vladimir Region, and its residents should be proud of it.
The presented exposition is a collection owned by the Zebra Art Union. It included the work of Vladimir masters, with whom began the tradition of the Vladimir school of painting. Valery Kokurin, Kim Britov and Vladimir Yukin, for the first time showed their work to the general public in 1960, participating in the exhibition "Soviet Russia", which was then taking place in the republic for the first time.
The work of Vladimir masters was so impressed by the visitors of the exhibition that even the press, not too pitiful for artists in those years, noted their work as plastically perfect and aesthetically meaningful. An expressive color palette was used on the canvases, and the combination of colors on them gives rise to emotional saturation, creates a poetic world of images of the Russian land.
The paintings of artists who continued the tradition of the founders of the Vladimir school of landscape painting, whose fame made the Vladimir region famous in all countries, also entered the exposition.
