An exhibition of historical paintings by Pavel Ryzhenko has begun at the Academy of the Ministry of Emergencies

MOSCOW. Until mid-June, an exhibition of paintings written by Pavel Ryzhenko, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, will open in the lobby of the Russian Academy of Emergencies. The main theme of the exhibition was the First World War. The exposition includes paintings on the tragic events of Russian history - the Civil War, the Russian Revolution and the Russian Emperor Nicholas II.

This exhibition presents not just talented paintings. It contains paintings filled with the national spirit, where the author’s love for Russian history, compassion and forgiveness, characteristic of the Russian character, are visible. Guests attending the opening of the exhibition were welcomed by Nikolai Burlyaev, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, who holds the post of director of the Institute of Culture of the Ministry of Emergencies, and Anastasia Ryzhenko, the artist’s widow.

In his welcoming speech, Nikolai Burlyaev spoke of Ryzhenko as one of the best artists of two centuries - the past and the present. This exhibition contained only a small part of his creative heritage, but a picture gallery should certainly appear in the capital, where you can get acquainted with the work of Pavel Ryzhenko in more detail.

Then Anastasia Ryzhenko invited those present for a short tour of the exposition. Pavel Viktorovich, who created more than sixty canvases of historical subjects, wrote in his autobiography that he would be happy if his paintings help to arouse pride in the homeland for his contemporaries, and choose the right path in life.

Historical canvases in the work of Pavel Ryzhenko always occupied a special place. The artist devoted a whole series of works to the last Russian emperor. For the dioramas he created for the Memorial 2011 exhibition dedicated to the Patriotic War, Pavel Ryzhenko was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
