An exhibition of artists from Togliatti "New Look" opened in Komsomolsk-on-Amur
KOMSOMOLSK-ON-AMUR. From November 20th, visitors to the city art museum can get acquainted with the works of modern art created by artists living and working in Togliatti. Six artists combined the work into the exposition of a traveling exhibition, giving it the name “New Look”.
Yulia Slastenova, who is the curator of the exhibition, said that the proposal to organize the exhibition came from her colleagues working in Sakhalin. There it was demonstrated so successfully that the employees of the South Sakhalin Museum decided that it must be shown in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
The opening of the exhibition of Togliatti artists is important not only for ordinary lovers of painting and graphics, but also for professional masters. Togliatti is far from the Far Eastern cities and the art of the Volga artists, based on the academic school of painting, develops in its own way. Such an acquaintance is useful and interesting to local professionals.
All members of the creative group are members of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation, constantly presenting their works at exhibitions. Each of them likes to work with certain topics. Most of the works of Yevgeny Utkin are devoted to sports. The artist believes that human emotions are most pronounced in sports.
Armen Karapetyants prefers military-patriotic themes, and landscapes prevail in the surprisingly spectacular graphics of Alexei Zuev. Machines often appear on Denis Eliseenko’s paintings, on their images you can see every detail filigree prescribed by the artist. Igor Panov is inspired by childhood memories.
The exhibition “New Look” will be in the Museum of Komsomolsk-on-Amur until December 20, and then it will go to visit the residents of Vladivostok.
