"Tarabarov Island" - a new exhibition at the Museum of Naive Art on Izmailovsky Boulevard

MOSCOW. The exhibition “Tarabarov Island”, which has just opened at the Museum of Naive Art, is waiting for everyone who is interested in the work of naive artists, everyone who needs a good mood and a place where you can spend time with good use. This exhibition was created by Eugene and Sergey Tarabarov, who collected works for many years, the authors of which are artists who have not received professional education.

They don’t know the technical methods used by professional artists to write their work, but their talent allows them to create their own artistic worlds, surprisingly poetic and sublime. Naive art was born from folk art, because luboks so popular once were also created by those who today are called “Naive Artists”.

The collection collected by the Tarabarovs is invaluable both for those who are passionate about naive art, and for those who are interested in art. Original authors do not strive for fame. The main thing for them is the need to express their own memories, dreams and dreams in their works.

Sergey Tarabarov, creator and curator of the exhibition, says that he is often asked how naive artists differ from professionals. According to him, such artists most often become people who have the talent to see and feel in the ordinary beautiful. However, for various reasons, they were not able to get the profession of an artist.

They do not know how to use paints correctly, sometimes it is not easy to communicate with them, but their paintings represent an amazing world filled with life stories of these artists. Each of the works has its own story associated with the life of its creator. You can get to know them on March 20th.
