BELGOROD. At the same time, two exhibition venues of the city hosted the exposition of the Prokhorovskoye Field International Exhibition-Competition, held for the third time in Belgorod. The competition, established by the government of the Belgorod region, is held in a year. The employees of the art museum, department of culture and creative associations of artists of Belgorod work on its organization.

Of the 273 works of art devoted to patriotic themes, five winners will be determined. Although the jury has already selected those artists whose works will be awarded the Prokhorovskoye Pole prize (each of them will receive not only a prize winner’s diploma, but also 75 thousand rubles), their names will be announced solemnly at a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the museum-reserve.

The meeting of the Prokhorovskoye Pole Museum Council will take place on May 19, then the well-deserved prizes will be awarded to the winners selected from 187 artists. Among the contestants are representatives of nine Russian regions. Participate in the competition and Ukrainian artists living in Lugansk and Kiev.

By visiting the art museum, you can get acquainted with the paintings and sculptures provided for the competition. The visitors of the exhibition were especially interested in the sculptural work performed by Anatoly Shishkov, a famous sculptor from Belgorod. He presented the sculpture "Son of the Regiment" at the competition, embodying in his work the image of the young defender of the Motherland.

In the exhibition hall "Rodina" there are works of other genres - graphics, temple art and decorative and applied works of art. Although there is a military theme in each of the entries, they are not similar among them. Artists belong to different generations, so the themes of war are covered in different ways.
