Three generations of the Shurpin dynasty at an exhibition in the hall of the Partnership of Moscow painters

MOSCOW. The works of three generations of artists belonging to the same creative dynasty were collected by the organizers of the exhibition, which opened on October 10 in the exhibition hall owned by the Association of Artists of the Ministry of Agriculture. The exhibition space of the hall on Tverskaya-Yamskaya was united by the painting of representatives of the Shurpin dynasty, whose ancestor was Fedor Savvich Shurpin, born in 1904.

Fans of painting are extremely interested in visiting such family exhibitions, as they can be used to trace the creative path traveled by a family of artists. Each of the generations is looking for its own theme, and in these searches, the formation of a creative manner and the improvement of skill are also traced.

For sketches and paintings written by Fyodor Shurpin, free strokes are characteristic, with the help of which the artist accurately conveys his first impressions. The painter does not need to observe the aesthetics of the stroke, his brush makes a free flight through the space of the canvas. The themes of the peasantry and motherhood are often intertwined in his works. Most of his sincere and imaginative paintings owe their association to birth.

For his son, Savva Fedorovich, the path to gaining his own face was a difficult test. The theme of Savva Shurpin’s painting was Moscow landscapes, which show the slightest changes in the state of nature. The images of the monasteries and churches created by the painter are distinguished by the exact color found.

The works written by Lydia Savvichna Shurpina open the audience to a special world filled with symbols and fantastic images. In the language of painting, the artist creates metaphorical images full of poetry.

An exhibition of the works of the Shurpin dynasty, united by a love of painting, is available until October 22.
