In the gallery "5 House" opened the exhibition "Music of the Past". representing the work of the artist Valery Orchikov

Zhukovsky. Gallery "5 House" presents the work of masters working in diverse styles and directions. Since January 23, she has been waiting for guests at the exhibition “Music of the Past”. Its exposition presents paintings created by the artist from Balashikha Valery Orchikov.

His works attract the attention of visitors at any exhibition. It is hard not to notice the paintings that look created in the distant past. Valery Orchikov works in an unusual manner, obtained by the artist using a combination of technologies, similar to what the old masters used when writing icons. To give his work an indescribable raid of antiquity, the artist uses modern, high-tech materials.

To participate in the exhibition, the artist provided works written recently. Spiritual angelic faces, medieval castles and characters from legends and fairy tales look at visitors from Valery Orchikov’s paintings. Carefully peering into the artist’s work, you can clearly feel the music born in the world, born of fantasy and mastery of Valery Orchikov. For each of the visitors she will have her own, but touching heroes living at the artist’s works will help her hear.

The process of creating paintings by Valery Orchikov takes a lot of time, because the basis of his work is wooden boards that require preliminary processing. After applying several layers of gesso, the base is carefully sanded.

Then the artist paints the picture itself using acrylic paints in a multi-layer technique. Later, the painter covers his work with special varnishes that age its surface. Completes the process of adding oil paints. Valery Orchikov also creates frames himself, using mastic of his own manufacture.
