Anniversary exhibition of the artist Yuri Bagdasarov in the Kislovodsk Museum "Fortress"

KISLOVODSK. The Fortress Museum continues the exhibition cycle “Anniversaries of the Year”, which opened on February 11 with an exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of Yu. Bagdasarov, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. Yuri Aramovich has been collaborating with the Kislovodsk Museum of History and Local Lore for many years. His works are presented in the permanent exhibition of the museum.

A whole gallery of portraits painted by Yuri Baghdasarov can be seen by visiting the Fortress Museum. Before the visitors appear Marshals Zhukov and Baghramyan, conductor V.I.Safonov and writer Solzhenitsyn. Recently, Yuri Aramovich donated his new work to the museum - the Gogol’s "Overcoat" illustrated by him. This book was immediately placed in the exhibition window.

Many of the artist’s works are kept in the funds of the museum "Fortress". Yuri Aramovich is always actively involved in events organized by museum staff. He took part in the preparation of his own anniversary exhibition, providing unique materials for the exhibition, on which you can get acquainted with the various facets of his work.

The central place of the exhibition displays works made in the avant-garde style. In this genre, only artists who have passed a solid school of craftsmanship can feel confident. These works become original puzzles where colors, image techniques, and composition are combined. They require the ability to think, however, each viewer is able to feel the subtle humor of the author and his positive mood.

On the creative account of Yuri Bagdasarov large monumental works that adorned Kislovodsk. According to his artistic project, a memorial plaque was created that adorned the gates of the fortress described by Lermontov in “The Hero of Our Time”. It was installed on the 200th anniversary of the poet.

The exhibition awaits guests on March 11th.
