Unique works of the great Pablo Picasso in the Kislovodsk Museum "Fortress"

Very little time, a little more than a week, was left to the residents of Kislovodsk and its guests in order to have time to visit the exhibition of works by the famous artist, whose name is known even to those who are far from the world of art. The work of Pablo Picasso, one of the few masters of painting whose work, even during the life of the artist, managed to take its rightful place among the masterpieces of world art, presented for review at the exhibition "Rhapsody of Passion", which continues to work until October 14 at the Museum "Fortress”The city of Kislovodsk.

The exposition of the exhibition included three series of engravings, two of which are illustrations for famous literary works, and the third, "California Album", scenes from the life of the greatest artist. Naturally, in the life of the great artist there were romantic experiences, and the women who loved the master became the heroines of his works.

In his series “California Album”, created by the artist in 1955 in a personal villa, various variations of the images of a woman dressed in oriental clothing. These are truly unique works depicting a woman who became the last muse of the great Spaniard. This series of engravings is also interesting because the artist used various drawing techniques to create them.

All the master’s works that made up the exhibition’s exposition belong to the late period of Picasso’s work, and are almost unknown to the Russian public, as they were stored in private collections of art connoisseurs from France and America. It is possible that such a unique opportunity will not be presented to the residents of Kislovodsk anymore.
