The Pushkin House hosts an exhibition of Spanish literature Automatic translate
ST. PETERSBURG. On June 15, a unique exhibition of books “Russia and Spain. General literary border. " Signs of the interweaving of Russian and Spanish literary traditions are demonstrated in the walls of the Pushkin House.
Visitors to the exhibition are given the opportunity to get acquainted with rare manuscripts, unique editions and household items of the writers of the country of flamenco and bullfighting. Several sections of the exposition are devoted to the period from the beginning of the 16th century to the middle of the 20th century. Employees of the Pushkin House call letters and autographs of famous Spanish figures around the world one of the most interesting and informative exhibits. Among such subjects you can see a letter signed by King Philip III, personal correspondence of the founder of the Ukrainian city of Odessa, Admiral Jose de Ribas, monograms and autographs on unique documents from the outstanding Spanish writer of the 20th century Blasco Ibáñez.
Another section of the literary exhibition is dedicated to Russian writers, who in their work gave an important place to the “Spanish” theme. Visitors can familiarize themselves with unique manuscripts and autographs of famous domestic literary figures, including Pushkin, Voloshin, Lermontov and other writers. Also here are rare editions of Russian famous prose writers whose works have been translated into Spanish.
The central place in the exhibition hall of the Pushkin House is allocated to the mock-up of the mill. The symbol of Spain, repeatedly described by Cervantes in his works, attracts the general attention of visitors to a literary event of different ages. The expiration date dedicated to Russian and Spanish literature has not yet been announced, because the event aroused great interest among residents and guests of St. Petersburg.
