MOSCOW. A library appeared in the metro.

The subway is gradually mastering functions unusual for it, to the joy of the passengers it carries. While the Novosibirsk metro plunged into the sweet world of classical music (similar practices were already practiced in the Russian and Chinese capitals), a real library at the Vystavochnaya station opened on December 29. The only “but” for some potential visitors may be the subject matter of the literature presented here. Rare books, reference books, maps are devoted to the history of the metro and the specifics of its work. Fans of underground reading created the most comfortable conditions. There is Wi-Fi, as well as the opportunity to visit the museum, lecture hall and career guidance center for those who want to stay in the subway forever. Starving books are guaranteed a light snack.

An additional convenience would be the appearance of special bookcrossing zones in which you can borrow a book for a long trip. Not everyone has surplus funds for the purchase of print media or gadgets. Owners of the latter over the past few years can use the virtual library. You can get there using QR codes placed on special posters. A similar innovation is also used in the New York subway, thereby motivating to get acquainted with the novelties of literature.

The Aquarelle train, which runs every day at certain hours on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line, was a pleasant sight for visitors to the Moscow metro. The art gallery on wheels is very popular, invariably striking passengers entering it.
