The good intentions that guided the numerous "editors" of Tchaikovsky’s works led to unacceptable distortions. This amateur performance also touched the First Piano Concerto, negatively affecting the sound balance and its concept. In the published volumes of the new collected works, two original versions in their original form were first published. In the planned 118 or more volumes, it is supposed to include not only the well-known works cleared of layers, but also much of the unfinished. The start of the grandiose project turned out to be so impressive that the first prize of the association, founded by music critics of the capital, was awarded in 2015 by Weidman, who managed to carry out an incredible amount of work with her few associates.

The departure from the life of the main ascetic, whose enthusiasm in many respects determined the success of this project, is a big and irreplaceable loss. The work of life of Polina Efimovna Weidman should continue, having gained decent and sufficient funding. Everyone needs this. Musicians who can deal with genuine scores. And ordinary people in need of comfort and support. More than ever.
