"Theater Almanac" from the Meyerhold Center moved to the Yermolova Theater

MOSCOW. For the first time on the stage of the theater. Yermolova on January 23 will host the festival "Theater Almanac", which successfully started earlier in the capital’s Center. Meyerhold, where three issues have already been shown. The initiator of this theatrical experiment was the young company Vottebe.

The essence of the project is that for a certain, very short time, with the help of theatrical means, together with the recruited acting team, the directors create performances on a predetermined topic. During past issues, there was a conversation about love, about freedom, about the hero of modernity. To select the performances that will be shown at the Ermolova Theater, an eternal theme was chosen - “fathers and children”.

This theatrical experiment has become a difficult job for the actors of the Yermolova Theater taking part in it. They are accustomed to the traditional, long-time work on the play, and only a week is spent on staging short films. It was also difficult for the directors, because not only did they not work previously in this theater, but they were not even given the right to choose - the acting teams were recruited and distributed among the directors by chance.

About sixty theater actors and eight directors representing the young generation, each of which has its own style and style, will take part in the creation of the Theater Almanac. The program of the evening will be composed of eight performances, each of which should not be an excerpt or episode.

A stage work designed for twenty minutes of action can be staged in any genre, but should be a complete plot in which the problem of “fathers and children” will be artistically displayed. The program of the evening included not only performances, but also a special program.
