Performances based on plays by A. Volodin in the festival project "Five Evenings"

ST. PETERSBURG. With impatience expected by the audience, the festival “Five Evenings”, dedicated to the playwright Alexander Volodin, opened on February 6 at the Theater on Liteiny. The festival program included six performances, four of which were staged according to the plays of Alexander Volodin, and the rest are the works of modern playwrights, corresponding to the piercing and bright intonations that sound in the plays of the famous playwright.

The first gift to the theater-goers was the performance “Sister Hope”, staged by director Alexander Marin in the theater-studio “Snuffbox”. For the performance, Marine took the first edition of the play Volodin, once rejected by censors due to the lack of a happy ending.

The next evening on stage is the Youth Theater from Barnaul. The Altai troupe brought to St. Petersburg a performance popular with spectators of all generations - “Don’t part with your loved ones”, staged by director Dmitry Egorov.

Guests from Bulgaria also participate in the festival program. Bulgarian National Theater on the stage of the Youth Theater named after On February 8, Bryantseva will present Duck Hunt to the audience. The production was performed by Russian director Yuri Butusov.

On the evening of February 9, two scenic venues of the city will be given to performances based on plays by modern playwrights. In the evening, "At the Foundry" will perform the actors of the theater-studio "Chance" from Ryazan, showing the audience the production of "The Land of the Lone Goat". This play was written by Sasha Sokolov.

Before the start of this performance, the most mobile viewers will have time to see on the GATI stage the performance of the theater from Yelets “Benefis”. Actors during the day two times will show "Endless April" based on the play by Yaroslav Pulinovich.

The famous Five Evenings, staged by Vasily Senin, will end the festival days on the evening of February 10th.
