In the repertoire of the Kurgan drama appeared "Family portrait with an outsider"

MOUND. The drama theater pleased the residents of the city with the premiere. On the stage of the theater showed a funny comedy on the theme of village life - "Family portrait with an outsider." For the production of a popular play by Stepan Lyubozerov, a director from Moscow, Sergei Uskov, was invited.

The plot of the play is well known to the Kurgan theater-goers; Nina Usatova, a compatriot of the Kurgan people, twice visited the city with his entreprise version. However, the reading of the play by Sergei Uskov made the play more modern. The main thing is that when staging a play, the director constantly remembered that comedy must be funny.

There are no large-scale events in the play; the personal problems of the characters of the play, whose characters are trusting and good-natured, are in the center of attention. Only now all the troubles in their life are due to inability to understand each other and excessive credulity.

Innocent deception turns the home of the heroes of the play into a real madhouse, where one comic situation replaces another, and the rhythm of events is accelerating more and more. The directorial findings of Sergei Uskov remarkably complement what is happening on the stage of the theater.

The characters of the play begin to speak and move in slow motion, embodying Mikhail’s revived thoughts, and after a while they turn into cartoon characters, moving funny behind the curtains. The village coloring of the performance is achieved not only with the help of scenery - the real button accordion also becomes one of the characters of the production, and its characters become even more real when performing songs and dances on the stage.

After the performance, the reaction of the audience of all ages was the same - prolonged applause and a turn to the theater’s book of reviews. Obviously, in those evenings when “Family Portrait…” will be playing on the stage, there will be no empty seats in the hall.
