At the festival "European Spring" residents of Arkhangelsk are waiting for surprises

ARKHANGELSK. Today, March 5th, a performance of the theater. Vakhtangov’s "Demons", staged by Yuri Lyubimov, the eighth festival "European Spring" opens in the city. For the Arkhangelsk audience, the opportunity to see the performance of the famous Moscow theater on the stage of the Arkhangelsk drama will be a real gift.

The festival, dedicated not only to the theater, but also to music, has international status, so the audience of Arkhangelsk will have the opportunity to see the work of a wide variety of groups during the festival days. Festival events will be held on April 20th.

Over these days, jazz lovers will be able to attend the concert “Classic Mits Cuba” - a performance by a jazz band from Germany, to get acquainted with the work of the Silver Wedding band from Minsk. This Belarusian group is well known to the audience of their country and Ukraine and is steadily gaining popularity in Russia.

The Arkhangelsk Chamber Orchestra for the festival prepared a special project named “Two Women’s Stories”. In one evening, Arkhangelsk music lovers will get acquainted with two mini-operas, where not only musicians from the chamber orchestra will participate, but also guests from St. Petersburg and Moscow. Solo parts will be performed by Tatyana Kuindzhi, representing Perm, and Muscovite Julia Korpacheva.

Another gift to the Arkhangelsk theater-goers is the creative laboratory “Young Directors for Children”. This is a joint project of two youth theaters - Arkhangelsk and Moscow. As part of this project, sketches of theatrical performances will be shown, the best of which will later be embodied in the Arkhangelsk Youth Theater.

At the end of the festival, spectators will see the work of the Flamenco Theater “Factory de Tabaco” from St. Petersburg - a performance about the Mexican artist “Frida”.
