The festival "Real Theater" opened with a performance

YEKATERINBURG. In the evening of September 2, the opening of one of the most famous and prestigious Russian theater festivals took place. "Real Theater" starts in Yekaterinburg for the twelfth time. Although the organizer of the festival is the Youth Theater, but since its building is now being renovated, other theater and concert halls provided their stage venues for showing performances.

However, the most important festival events will take place at the drama theater. The opening ceremony of the festival program was also held here - it took place on the site in front of the theater, where the Ural Band orchestra created the festive mood for guests and participants of the festival forum. The first performance of the festival was "Good man from Cezuan" staged by Yuri Butusov in the capital’s theater. Pushkin.

Traditionally, the festival will show the most interesting works of the last theater season. Not only recognized directors, but also young talents will present their performances. In total, the program of the theater forum included 14 performances presented by theaters of various Russian cities.

Viewers will be able to see not only well-known stories, but also created as part of the experiment, in a genre unusual for the Russian public. One of these productions will be the play “Killer Joe”, presented by young Rostov actors as a comic book performance.

Participants of the festival "Real Theater" meet in Yekaterinburg, starting in 1990. The director and founder of the festival, Oleg Loevsky, forms his program himself. The main feature of the festival is a detailed analysis of each performance. Leading Russian theater critics take part in the discussion together with actors and art directors.

The closing of the festival is September 8th.
