Unusual reading of the play "Dangerous Communications" in the theater. Komissarzhevskaya

ST. PETERSBURG. Director from Macedonia Dejan Proykovsky, invited to stage the play "Dangerous Liaisons" in the theater. Komissarzhevskaya, on April 12, presented his work to St. Petersburg theater-goers. The novel, written in the 18th century by the Frenchman Chauderlo de Laclos, has become popular since its inception. Readers to this day have not lost interest in him.

The story described in the novel, countless times transferred to the theaters, addressed to him by eminent filmmakers. Dejan Proykovsky approached the production of the play unconventionally. The play, based on the novel by the English scriptwriter Christopher Hampton, unexpectedly turned into a play, where the text is dominated not by the expression of the feelings of the heroes by plastic means.

The co-author of the Macedonian director was Elena Prokopieva, director of the “Fortress Ballet” theater. According to her, the plastic in the play was not used to replace the text, but for a more organic play of the actors. The theater consists of different types of art, so the stage situation, supplemented by a plastic solution, gives a result that is understandable to the modern audience.

On the playbill there is a subtitle - "The game of love." The story written in the 18th century about the insidious marquise and the charming seducer, the directors turned into a story about people living nearby. The plot of the play is such that everything that happens in it excites every person today. What is love, how love coexists with betrayal - these questions always remain relevant.

The result of this approach to the text of the play was a kind of performance with its own theatrical aesthetics. The directors of "Dangerous Liaisons" plan trips with their work on tours to Macedonia, Croatia, Montenegro and participation in theater festivals.
