The author of this original performance is permanent - director Konstantin Bogomolov, traditionally leading the award ceremony. The procedure for selecting performances worthy of being included in the list of prize winners is the same. An expert council of theater critics evaluates the quality of the premiere performances presented during the season by Moscow theaters.

Then experts draw up a “list of finalists” representing the most interesting works.
