VORONEZH. The creative group, led by St. Petersburg director Alexander Bargman, prepared together with the actors of the theater named after Koltsova gift Voronezh theater-goers. The premiere of the play, based on the play by Tom Stoppard, the famous playwright from Britain, “A Free Man Comes In”, was presented on the stage of the theater.

This play, originally called Walking on Water, is one of the early plays of the playwright. She was born in the early sixties, and for the first time, viewers saw her television version in 1963. In the London theater, viewers saw her in 1968, already renamed, received the name by which it is known to today’s audience.

Alexander Bargman highlighted on the theatrical poster his understanding of the genre of this performance, adding to its title a subtitle - “hopes in two acts”. The main role of the play - a strange and funny inventor-loser, is played by one of the most popular Voronezh actors, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Valery Potanin.

George Riley’s whole life has been devoted to inventing strange devices, such as home rain for flowers. Only one of George’s inventions can be considered useful - a watch with a fight. However, the English anthem, performed by this watch, becomes a real headache for members of his family.

His family already calmly perceives the oddities of an unrecognized genius, who leaves home forever every Saturday, and with the same frequency returns back to his family. Visitors to the pub where the inventor spends evenings are also accustomed to the eccentric inventor. Only here is an eighteen-year-old daughter giving him money for expenses.

The life story of George Riley, shown on the stage of the theater, was interesting to the Voronezh audience.
