In Smolensk, Theater Day was marked by premieres in several theaters of the city

SMOLENSK. Smolensk theater-goers have no such choice of places where they can celebrate Theater Day. However, many of the city’s theater groups in honor of the holiday invited spectators to premiere performances. It is not so important that the dates of the premieres do not quite coincide with the Theater Day, celebrated around the world on March 27th.

But the audience will be able to visit every new product on the day of its premiere, and after only a week, from April 2, to see performances brought from different countries to the Smolensky Ark theater festival. During the seven festival days, the participants of the theater forum will delight Smolensk fans of stage art with the best performances of their repertoire.

Festival posters, which have already appeared on the streets of Smolensk, promise spectators performances of various genres. Participants of the festival took care not only of adult spectators - the program includes performances designed for young lovers of the stage. Theatricalists with experience are waiting for drama, stories with a detective story, and actors from Belarus brought a beautiful mystical legend about the Black Lady, who has been searching for her lover for centuries.

While the festival participants are going on the road, on the Theater Day, Smolensk artists presented two premieres to the audience. In the Drama Theater. Griboedov was shown the play “Everything is different now”, staged by director Vitaly Barkovsky. For the play, the play of the young playwright Svetlana Bazhenova was used.

On the stage of the house of educators on the same evening, the premiere of the production of “Their dogs are biting” was shown based on the play by A. Ostrovsky. This is a new work of artists of the Smolensk People’s Drama Theater. On March 28, theatergoers will have another premiere - the chamber theater will present a performance based on the famous Zoykin’s apartment by M. Bulgakov.
