The leading American magazine The Hollywood Reporter reports that HBO plans to release the first documentary next year about the early deceased leader of the world-famous band "Nirvana" Kurt Cobain, the picture was created with the participation of the family of the late singer. In turn, the studio Universal agreed to organize an international movie rental.

Brett Morgen, director of the documentary film about Cobain, began his work on the project in 2006, the film’s producer was Francis Bean, Cobain’s daughter. “Kurt was controversial. He could be sincere and sentimental, but at the same time ironic and sarcastic. Lovely and pungent. And it’s also very funny - that’s how we want to show it, ”said the director. As for the participation in the production of the film, the widow of Cobain, actress and singer Courtney Love, the creators noted that it was minimal.

The film, dubbed “Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck”, included dozens of fragments of the performances of the group “Nirvana”, as well as Kurt’s never-released recordings found by the director in the singer’s personal archive. Morgen said that while working on the film, he had access to Cobain’s archival work, which contained photographs, written sources and audio and video recordings, where he found many interesting unique materials that he used to create documentaries.

Recall that Kurt Cobain was born in Aberdeen, Washington on February 20, 1967. In the mid-80s, Cobain founded a group that later became known as "Nirvana." For a short period of existence, the group managed to release 3 studio albums: “Nevermind”, “Bleach” and “In Utero”. Cobain, who had time to experience all the hardships of fame, died at the age of 27 years. According to the police, the singer committed an act of suicide, after taking a large dose of heroin.
