For the first time, Vologda hosts the Itogi-2014 festival, which presents the premiere performances of the past year

VOGDA. “Itogi-2014” - under this name, a theater festival was opened on February 11 to evaluate the work of Vologda theater groups. Performances take part in the festival program, the premieres of which were presented to the audience in the past, 2014 year.

Three Vologda troupes take part in the festival program - the Drama Theater, the Youth Theater and the Teremok Puppet Theater. The professionals were entrusted to evaluate the quality of the performances presented at the festival - the jury included leading experts, theater experts who arrived from Moscow and Yaroslavl.

The presentation of nine awards is provided, but the jury has not yet decided which nominations will be considered. The organizers of the festival say that open competition is not provided, therefore, the principle of encouragement will be determined by critics after showing all the performances.

The awards to the winners will look symbolic - a metal panel depicting traditional theatrical characters, Pierrot and Harlequin. Their manufacture was entrusted to the famous Vologda blacksmith. Although the last festival day will be February 16th, the presentation of the awards will take place later, on the day of the professional holiday - March 27th.

The initiators of the festival were employees of the Drama Theater. They were supported by the leaders of other theater groups and the Department of Culture. STD of Russia did not stand aside. While this festival is a regional project, but it is quite possible to reach the interregional level.

The first work shown at the festival was the performance of the Youth Theater Danish History. ” Next, the audience will be presented with a diverse program - serious and box office performances will be shown. We entered the festival program and performances intended for children.
