Chelyabinsk is preparing to host the first All-Russian film festival "Man of Labor"

CHELYABINSK. From April 16 to April 18 in Chelyabinsk, the first All-Russian film festival "Man of Labor" will be held for the first time. This project was a kind of continuation of the professional excellence contest “Glorify the man of labor!”, Which was created in 2011 in the Sverdlovsk region as a regional one, and now it has become nation-wide.

Within the framework of the festival, documentaries and feature films, as well as Internet projects and television stories, the characters of which are ordinary working people, will be shown. “At the moment we have 93 projects, the acceptance of applications is still ongoing. The geography of participants is very extensive: Krasnodar Territory, Tyumen, Moscow and St. Petersburg, Khakassia, Khanty-Mansiysk District, Far East - the regions have reacted very actively to our proposal. The competition will be held in 10 nominations, including “Best Director,” “Best Cinematography,” “Best Musical Design,” “Best Youth Project,” “Best Script,” and others, ”said Mikhail Churbanov, Director, at a press conference. Sverdlovsk film studio "Mega-U.ru", which is the organizer of the project.

The winners of the festival will be awarded with cash prizes and memorable statuettes. The winner of the Grand Prix and the author of the best script will receive a maximum cash reward of 250 thousand rubles. The Minister of Culture of the Chelyabinsk region Alexei Betekhtin said that the working gauntlet will become the symbol of the festival. 10 metal souvenir mittens, which will be awarded to the laureates, have already been developed by designers and cast by Kasli masters. The winner of the Grand Prix will receive a gilded mitten as a reward.

Within three days, the works of the contest participants will be broadcast in the Chelyabinsk Megapolis, everyone will be able to see the pictures. The winners will be selected by a professional jury led by the famous metropolitan writer and journalist Alexander Prokhanov.

The best works and pictures of the winners of the film "Labor Man" will be shown on one of the local television channels. Also, as part of the event, master classes and round tables are planned.
