Screenings of the Do-It-Cinema International Film Festival kicked off in Moscow
MOSCOW. Today, May 26, screenings of films were launched at the summer cinema of the Muzeon art park as part of the Make a Film International Activist Documentary Film Festival. The film forum is dedicated to progressive social projects, street art, city initiatives, invisible communities and people excluded from society.
The paintings, which will be presented at the shows in the "Museon", reflect the full range of themes that are classic for this film festival. Sessions will be diluted with lectures and discussions with journalists and city activists, artists and urbanists, who will help to more fully reveal the context of selected films and compare it with modern Russian realities.
The festival program included such films as “The Other Coast” (Greece, directed by Nikos Dayandas), “Super Women: Untold Stories of American Heroines” (USA, directed by Kelsey Edwards and Christy Guevara Falanagan), “War of Styles - 2” (Switzerland, dir. Veli & Amos) and the film "High Tech Underground" produced by the USA, directed by Stephen T. Meing.
All films will be broadcast in the original language with Russian subtitles. Admission to lectures and discussions is free, admission to sessions is based on tickets purchased at the box office of the Museon cinema.
