Hungarian cinema festival to be held in the capital of Russia

MOSCOW. The festival of contemporary Hungarian films “CIFRA” will be held from May 20 to 24 at the Moscow Documentary Film Center. The main screening program included five feature films that had previously taken part in various international film festivals and won many prestigious awards.

The opening film of the festival will be the city comedy "Lisa Fox" directed by Karoya Uyy-Mesarosh. The film tells about the mystical relationship of a girl and a ghost named Tommy Tani, who during his life was a famous Japanese singer. The picture will be represented by its screenwriter Blint Hegedyush.

The second picture in the framework of the festival is “For No Reason” directed by Gabor Reis, which tells the story of a young man who decided to fly after his girlfriend to Lisbon with the money that he took from his parent card. The debut in the cinema was the film "Life after Life" directed by Virag Zomborats, which will also be presented at the film forum. The film is about the ghost of a father who is chasing a young guy named Moses. The film directed by Gyorgy Palfi “Free Fall” will delight the audience with its epic scope and surprise with a huge concentration of black humor.

The screenwriter, actor and director Cornel Mundruzo will present his new film “White God” as part of the CIFRA festival. A touching story about how a little girl Lily really loved her faithful dog Hagen won the main award of the Special Look contest at the Cannes Film Festival.

All films of the Hungarian Film Festival “CIFRA” will be shown in the original language with Russian subtitles.
